AccorHotels New Zealand is pleased to announce the arrival of ibis Styles Invercargill to its leading economy ibis hotel network with the former Invercargill Apartment Hotel rebranding this October.
The 65-room property is Invercargill’s leading accommodation choice for leisure and business travellers, offering a range of contemporary studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments with kitchen facilities on each floor of the hotel.
The vibrantly decorated hotel features a cosy breakfast room, fitness facility, in-house cinema, games room, complimentary wifi internet access and guest car parking.
Situated in the capital of the Southland region of New Zealand, ibis Styles Invercargill is a short ten minute drive from Invercargill Airport and conveniently located at 15 Tay Street in the town centre.
Chris Sedgwick, Senior Vice President Operations of New Zealand’s largest hotel operator, AccorHotels, said “Ibis Styles Invercargill is a strategic addition to our network becoming the 32nd hotel in the country and it will complement our existing South Island hotels in Dunedin, Wanaka, Queenstown, Christchurch and Nelson. Ibis is an internationally recognised brand with over 1,800 hotels worldwide and we’re confident that ibis Styles Invercargill will benefit from its new global branding, distribution platform and participation in our leading loyalty programs Le Club AccorHotels and Accor Plus.”
Ibis Styles is part of the evolution of AccorHotels’ economy brands which has seen the introduction of a three-tiered megabrand with ibis, ibis Styles and ibis Budget. Ibis Styles is a non-standardised economy and design brand and typically offers an inclusive package for travellers that includes accommodation, continental breakfast and internet for one affordable price.
Situated in key destinations, each ibis Styles has its own distinct personality and reflects a colourful, bright and energetic brand spirit with a hint of humour. Simplicity, interactivity, quality and conviviality are the brand’s core values. With nearly 40 hotels in the Asia-Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, there are more than 135 ibis Styles hotels in 14 countries across the world.
